The Town of Nantucket is currently performing upgrades to the town water system on Centre Street from December 1st, 2022 to December 31, 2022 where the Anchor Inn is located. This work is being done from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Centre Street is closed to vehicle traffic during this time. There is some noise associated with this work. Beach Service

Beach towels and beach chairs are provided. Ice and a guest refrigerator are available. Coffee and tea will be available on the porch throughout the day.

On-site resident innkeepers and staff will assist with suggestions and ideas to enjoy Nantucket. We can arrange reservations for dining, tours (island van tours, bike tours, historic walking tours, or nature tours), fishing, sailing, special celebrations, gift baskets, chocolates, flowers or champagne. Nantucket maps provided on arrival.

In the residential old historic district on a one-way street in a quiet neighborhood. An easy walk from the Steamship Authority or High-line ferry, Anchor Inn is next door to the First Congregational Church, known as the Old North Church.

Room Amentities

Each room at Anchor Inn is unique with period-style furnishings, most with a queen four-poster or canopy bed. Eleven guest rooms are offered in this historic 1806 Nantucket inn located on three floors. In honor of Capt. Hammond, each of the rooms is named for a Nantucket whaleship. Two rooms are on the first floor, six on the second, and three on the third.
